FAA Awards $4.7M for Yeager Terminal Improvements

The  Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority is set to recieve a $4,700,000.00 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration for improvements to the Yeager Airport Terminal Building.

The grant is funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and will provide federal funding for terminal improvements at Yeager Airport located in Charleston, WV. These improvements include:

  • a passenger access system to the main terminal building,
  • replacement of a baggage carousel and
  • upgrades to (4) public restrooms.

The existing baggage carousel has exceeded its useful life and the upgrades to the restrooms are necessary to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.
